Diamond Grinding And Resurfacing: The Prep That Makes Coatings Last
Nearly every coating failure we are called to fix traces back to inadequate surface preparation. Diamond grinding opens the pores of the concrete, removes laitance and old adhesives, and creates the profile that lets a coating mechanically lock into the slab instead of sitting on top of it.
We run commercial-grade grinders with HEPA dust extraction, so interior work in occupied homes and businesses stays remarkably clean. Old paint, mastic, thinset and failing epoxy all come off the same way.
Resurfacing goes a step further. Where a slab is spalled, pitted or uneven, we apply a polymer-modified overlay to rebuild a smooth, sound surface — often saving a driveway or patio that would otherwise need to be demolished and re-poured.
Grinding and resurfacing are also available as standalone services if you plan to leave the concrete exposed, polished or sealed rather than coated.
