Structural Crack, Spall And Pitting Repair Before Any Coating Goes Down
A crack in a slab is a symptom. Before we fill anything we determine whether we are looking at normal shrinkage, a control joint doing its job, settlement under the slab, or active structural movement — because each one calls for a different repair and a different long-term expectation.
For typical shrinkage and stress cracks, we saw or route the crack to create a clean profile, remove debris and moisture, then fill with a semi-rigid polyurea or epoxy repair material that bonds to both faces and can be ground flush with the surrounding surface.
Left alone, cracks widen. Water gets in, the edges spall, and in Florida the freeze-thaw cycle is replaced by constant moisture and root intrusion doing the same damage more slowly. Repairing early is dramatically cheaper than replacing a slab section later.
Crack repair is included as prep in most of our coating projects, and is available as a standalone service for garages, driveways, patios, warehouse floors and commercial slabs.
