Coastal-Ready Coatings For St. Augustine Patios, Pool Decks And Garages
St. Augustine blends historic properties, vacation rentals and newer coastal construction — and all three benefit from decorative concrete. Stained and sealed patios suit the historic district's character, while metallic and marble epoxy floors are popular in newer homes and boutique retail spaces.
Salt air and constant sun are the local enemies of any coating. Everything we install on an exposed St. Augustine surface gets a UV-stable topcoat, and wet areas get an anti-slip additive as standard practice.
Much of the concrete here is older than the buildings around it, so we start by reading the slab: previous sealers, hard-troweled surfaces, shell aggregate and salt intrusion all change how a coating bonds. We grind and test before committing to a system, then finish edges and thresholds by hand so a new patio or entry blends into the surrounding stonework instead of fighting it.
We work throughout St. Johns County including the historic district, Anastasia Island, Vilano Beach and the World Golf Village corridor, coordinating with property managers on vacation-rental turnover schedules.
